Terms of Use

Last updated 18 September 2026

Famigram is a private, invite-only app for one family, run by a family member. These are the house rules. By creating an account or using Famigram you agree to them and to the Privacy Policy.

Who can join

  • You need an invitation from an existing member. There is no public signup.
  • You must be 13 or older to hold an account, and you confirm that when you sign up. Younger children can appear in photos and in the family tree, but they do not get accounts of their own.
  • If you invite someone under 18, you are responsible for how they use Famigram.
  • One account per person, in your own name. Keep your password to yourself — you are responsible for what happens under your account.

Your content

What you post is yours. You give this Famigram the permission it needs to store your photos, videos, messages and other content and show them to the family members you share them with. That is the only thing it is used for.

You are responsible for what you post. Only share photos and details of people who would be comfortable seeing them here, and ask first if you are not sure.

What's not allowed

There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. Either is grounds for content to be removed and an account to be closed. That includes:

  • Harassment, bullying, threats or intimidation of anyone, member or not.
  • Hateful or discriminatory content.
  • Nudity or sexual content.
  • Any sexual content involving minors. This is removed immediately and reported to the authorities.
  • Sharing someone's private information — address, phone number, documents, medical details — without their consent.
  • Pretending to be someone you are not.
  • Spam, scams or commercial solicitation.
  • Anything illegal.

Reporting, blocking and moderation

Every post, comment, message, memorial memory and profile has a Report action. Reports go to whoever runs this Famigram. They are reviewed and objectionable content is removed within 24 hours. The person you report is not told who reported them, and retaliating against someone for reporting is itself a breach of these terms.

You can block any member from their profile. Blocking hides you from each other and ends any friendship between you; you can undo it in Settings.

The administrator and moderators may remove content, and may suspend or close an account, at their discretion and with or without notice. They will usually talk to you first — this is a family — but they do not have to.

Leaving, and being removed

You can delete your account at any time from Settings in the app or on the web. What is deleted and what is kept is spelled out on its own page.

The administrator may close an account that breaks these terms. Either way, the Privacy Policy describes what happens to your data.

Offered as-is

Famigram is a family project run on family hardware, offered as-is and without warranty of any kind. To the extent the law allows, the person running it is not liable for lost content, downtime or anything that follows from using the app. Keep your own copies of the photos that matter to you.

Changes

If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them, and material changes will be mentioned in the app. Continuing to use Famigram after a change means you accept the new terms.
